During their August 22nd meeting, Washington Township Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Eric Richter as the Township’s Administrator. The position provides executive-level leadership to Township operations, planning, budgeting, and project and staff management.
Mr. Richter will oversee a budget of $21.3 million and a staff of 101 full time and 50 part time in the delivery of fire, emergency medical, and Township programs and services for residents of the City of Dublin and the unincorporated Washington Township.
Trustee Chairman Gene Bostic praised the pool of highly qualified candidates, and said “Eric Richter stood out for his excellent budget and fiscal forecasting skills and the enthusiasm he brings to achieving the Township’s goals.” Richter has served as Director of Operations in the fiscal department for Cuyahoga County, Director of Non-Legal Operations for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Chief Deputy Auditor for Union County, and most recently as the County Administrator for Union County.
“Eric’s knowledge of the northwest region to which the Township is a part will add a valuable perspective as we make decisions about issues we know are important to our residents,” said Trustee Denise Franz King.
Mr. Richter’s first day at the Township will be September 27.
