Trashed phones contain millions in gold and silver

As our use of electronic devices grows, so does the amount we throw away in landfills each year–9.4 million tons in the U.S., alone.

Electronic devices contain precious metals like gold which are lost when buried. They also contain toxic metals such as lead, which can contaminate the environment, including the water that all life needs to survive.

Help extend the life of Franklin County’s landfill, recover precious resources, and reduce the risk of environmental contamination. Take your unwanted electronic devices to the Dublin Service Center at 655 Shier Rings Road, Dublin OH, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5 pm. Here’s a list of items they accept.
