Once again the Washington Township Fire Department is collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Firefighters 4 Kids organization. All donations will be accepted between December 1 through December 23 at all of our fire stations.

A toy drive will also be held on December 10 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at station 91 located at 6255 Shier Rings Road. Come drop off a toy and receive a gift and goody bag.

Firefighters 4 Kids is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide toys at Christmastime for youth who may not otherwise receive them due to their family’s needs and/or personal tragedy. Every year, for the past 39 years, Firefighters 4 Kids has distributed toys to thousands of children. Firefighters 4 Kids was started in 1977 by Mike Mullins, a retired firefighter from Columbus Division of Fire. Mr. Mullins still runs the charitable program with help from Coordinator William Russell and Columbus Fire Dept. Liaison Doug Smith.
