Roasted or Deep Fried?

Did you know that cooking fires are three times more likely to occur on Thanksgiving than any other day of the year? Keep the mishaps our of your meal. If you prepare a turkey, use a sturdy roasting pan that will stand up to the weight of your turkey. Many disposable aluminum types can bend or collapse under the turkey’s weight, causing spills and the risk of fire and severe burns. If you deep fry your bird, know how much oil your turkey will displace to avoid oil overflow. Make sure your fryer is on a level, stable surface, and has a thermostat to keep the temperature consistent. Happy Thanksgiving!
