Our Fire Safety Inspectors regularly inspect every commercial building in Dublin and Washington Township for fire safety hazards so that employees and customers have safe places to work and shop. Blocked exits, burned out exit sign lights, pathways compromised by storage, out-of-date fire extinguishers, and electrical and hazards are among the most common issues our inspectors find. In 2016, Inspectors identified 4742 fire code violations. When a business has a violation, it is noted on their inspection report and the inspector and business/building owner agree upon a plan and timeline for remedying it.
