Spring hydrant flushing begins May 1

Firefighters will be flushing and pumping of the City of Dublin’s 3,025 hydrants from May 1st – 31st between 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. During this time, residents may experience brief periods of low water pressure or discoloration of water. If discoloration occurs, run cold water for several minutes until it clears. This should also be done prior to washing laundry to avoid stains on clothing.

City-owned hydrants have green bases. Hydrants with white bases are privately-owned. Owners of these hydrants are responsible for their flushing and pumping.
